District Councils are Saved

I have had the pleasure of living in Somerset for more than 20 years and for the past four years I have had the honour of being your South Somerset District Councillor.

Thanks to your votes, I am now able to serve you for another 4 years and continue in my strive to build a better future for us all.

England's Finest County

Potholes continue to be

number one on the highways agenda and yet once again, despite our best efforts, the Council has failed to address this issue. Rest assured that I will continue to pursue this sorry state of affairs. on your behalf.

Environment

I am committed to green issues in respect of recycling, air pollution, energy efficiency, open spaces and protection of the green belt. Innovative schemes

could be created to encourage local

Post Offices

The constant threat by

the Government and the

Post Office to close many of our rural offices angers me. They do not understand the needs of the elderly and our community as a whole. Please sign the conservative petition by clicking on the picture above.

Fly-Tipping

people to participate in improving their quality of life.

Like many of us, I was really angry when the Council

scrapped the Green Waste collection. I believe that the Council’s policy on this is frankly nonsense and I promise I will continue to lobby on your behalf to have Green Waste collection re-introduced.

I am constantly trying to get the Council to

collect waste on time, collect plastic bottles & cardboard and get the promised wheelie bins

to those people as quickly as possible. Please let me know if you have any problems in this area.

Waste Disposal

Let's keep South Somerset clean and tidy. Fly-Tipping is a constant problem especially to get it removed quickly. Let me

know if you see any and I will badger the council to remove it.

Did you know?

Although a cow has no upper front teeth, it grazes up to 8 hours a day, taking in about 45 kg (100 lb) of feed and the equivalent of a bath tub full of water. A healthy cow gives about

200,000 glasses of

milk in her

lifetime.
